Robert B. Kenworthy

He joined the staff at Gettysburg College in 1959 as that school’s first full-time Sports Information Director. His press box management became a model for many Division III colleges across the country. He served six years as president of the Middle Atlantic Sports Information Directors and served three years as the college representative on the National SID Board (CoSIDA). He was honored by both the national and eastern sports information directors as the Sports Information Director of the Year. He was inducted into the CoSIDA Hall of Fame in 1990 and Gettysburg College Hall of Fame in 2000. Upon his retirement, after 40 years, CoSIDA and the ECAC established annual national awards in his honor.
