A Littlestown native and 1960 graduate of Littlestown High School, he excelled in all sports. As a football player he was selected to play in the PA Big 33 game. Matriculated to Catawba College, NC, where he was twice named to the All-Carolina Conference team; received the Capitol Theatre Cup in 1964 as the outstanding player, and was named to the NAIA District 26 team. Played professional football two years in Richmond, VA and taught and coached at three schools in the Richmond area. Inducted into the Catawba College Sports Hall of Fame and was an active member of the Richmond Touchdown Club. Passed away on June 11, 2001 at the age of 59.
