Patrick Flaherty

Following an outstanding high school career at Delone as an offensive and defensive lineman, he matriculated to East Stroudsburg University. As an undergraduate he was two-time all-conference, Little All-American center in 1976, named to the New York Times and ECAC All-East teams and AP’s All-State team, besides leading East Stroudsburg to an undefeated season in 1975. His 25-year coaching career began at Delone from where he moved to East Stroudsburg, Penn State, Rutgers, East Carolina, Wake Forest and Iowa. He helped Penn State win the national title in 1982; later he moved to the pros with the Redskins, Chicago Bears, and New York Giants.
