Dave has been the Bermudian Springs High School head wrestling coach for the past 34 years, amassing a record of 420-177-3. His teams have won 11 division team titles, three District 3 Class AA team championships, and qualified for the PIAA Class AA state tourney 5 times, including a runner-up finish in 2008. His wrestlers have claimed 75 sectionals titles and 24 District 3 championships. He has coached 77 PIAA state qualifiers, including two PIAA state champions and 21 other state placers. He has been elected to the District 3 Coaches Hall of Fame and in 2006 was inducted into the PA Wrestling Coaches Association Hall of Fame. Dave has also served as an assistant football coach at Bermudian Springs for the past 34 years.
