Joy Byers Kennell

Joy graduated from Biglerville High School in 1998 as one of the greatest softball players in the program’s history. She was a four-year team MVP and was named to the Gettysburg Times All-Times team in all four of her high school seasons. She was named Player of the Year after hitting .671 during her junior season. Her success followed her to York College, where she received Capital Athletic Conference First Team honors three times. Upon her graduation, Joy ranked first in York College softball history in career batting average (.410), on-base percentage (.482), slugging (.722), doubles (37), triples (14), home runs (17), and RBIs (122). She also set single-season program records for home runs, RBIs, and runs scored in 2001.
