Thomas “Tom” Crist

Tom is a Gettysburg High School graduate where he lettered in football, basketball, baseball and track. He holds the retired record for the 100 yard dash. As an athlete he continued his track career for four years at Gettysburg College, from which he graduated in 1964. However, his greatest impact was at Gettysburg High School where he founded and coached, for 10 years, the Cross-Country team to four Blue Mountain League championships. He also coached the golf team for 15 years which won eight league championships, served as the assistant coach for the volleyball team, and started and coached for 6 years the tennis team which won four league championships. He finished his athletic stint at Gettysburg HS as Athletic Director for 10 years.
