Stephanie, probably one d the best female distance runners from Gettysburg High School and former school record holder for the cross country, 3200 M and 1600M wants, became a leader In contributing to 4 Shippensburg’s PSAC championships In track & field and cross-country during her years at the university. In addition, she led the team to NCAA East Region Championships during her Junior and senior seasons in cross country as well as 6th place team finish at nationals her senior year. Her 8th place 5000M finish and 7th place 10,000M finish her junior season earned her All-American honors. She held the Shippensburg indoor and outdoor 5000M school record for over 11 years as well as the indoor and outdoor distance medley relay team record. Overall, she earned two PSAC and two ECAC track and field championships while winning PSAC and regional titles for cross country in 1996 and 1997. In 1997 she was recipient of the Gwendolyn Baker Scholar Athlete Award and the NCAA Division II East Region Track & Field Athlete of the Year.
