Barb Jordan

Year Inducted: 2024

Jordan, long-time coach at Gettysburg College in two sports, excelled on the playing field, and leading from the sidelines, in a career that spanned over 25 years. She led the Bullets’ field hockey program from 2002-2022, building a 182-154 career record, including 10 Centennial Conference playoff appearances. The team won the ECAC South championship in 2005. She was also associate women’s lacrosse coach during the same span, helping the Bullets win three national championships and 12 conference titles, and earning national Assistant Coach of the Year in 2011. But Jordan was outstanding as a player. Graduating from Penn State in 1986, she was a three-time All-American for the Nittany Lions, and the team MVP those years. She also earned two varsity letters in field hockey. Jordan was a member of the U.S. Women’s Lacrosse team from 1982-1989, and a member of the U.S. World Cup team in 1986. She was inducted as a member of the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame in 2004, and the Delaware County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 2023.
