Carrie is the all-time leading scorer in Gettysburg High School basketball history. Her 1,571 career points tops all men and women. She averaged 17.8 points a game her senior year, leading the Warriors to a Mid-Penn Conference championship and was named league MVP. After high school, she took her talents to Indiana University of Pennsylvania where she was a four-year starter. Her sophomore year, IUP won a school-record 26 games reaching the NCAA Division II Elite Eight. The following season, her team won a record 16 straight. After her playing years, she coached basketball at her high school alma mater and led the Lady Warriors to their first PIAA tournament victory.
