Clayton “Clayt” Evans

A fixture in Littlestown High School athletics for 33 years, “Clayt” coached no less than five sports and served as the Thunderbolt Athletic Director for eight years. He instituted Littlestown’s first football team in 1947 and despite playing against teams with a longer history posted a 21-30-3 record. He also coached soccer, winning a county championship in 1946, and boys and girls basketball and baseball. His career was interrupted by service in the U.S. Air Force during World War II. He retired from the Air Force Reserve as a Lieutenant Colonel. He was also well-known as the “Voice of the Bolts” from the Press Box till his death in 1983.
