George Shue

George began his football coaching career as an assistant at Littlestown High School in 1968. He became Littlestown’s head coach in 1971 and held that post for 24 years, during which he won 188 games. He later was an assistant at Southwestern High and concluded his career as head coach at Red Lion for six years before retiring in 2004. His teams posted a 226–98–5 record over 36 years. Shue-coached teams won six Blue Mountain League and two YAIAA Division I championships. He coached in the 1990 Big 33 game and served as game moderator. George was inducted into the Pennsylvania Football Coaches Association Hall of Fame in 2004.
