Jeffery “Jeff” Cook

As an athlete, Jeff was a three-year letter winner and two-year starter in football at Gettysburg College and has played on the Old Gaelic Rugby Club since 1979. He is the only Old Gaelic rugger to have scored a try (touchdown) in five different decades. During his 15-year stint as coach of the Old Gaelic, the team won five Eastern Pennsylvania Rugby Union championships and placed 7th in the Division III national championship in 2006. From 2008 to the present, he has served as the coach of the Gettysburg Women’s Rugby team, reaching the national Division III finals in his first season and qualifying for the playoffs four other times. Locally, he hosts the weekly live call-in program, Sports Chat, has been a sports writer for the Gettysburg Times since 1997, has been the voice of Community Media Sports since its inception as Adams Community Television in 1989, and has served as a play-by-play and color analyst for high school football and basketball for WGET/ESPN 1320
