Entire life has been immersed in athletics in one form or another. Played basketball and baseball for Gettysburg High School, Mercersburg Academy and Gettysburg College, earning two letters each from those institutions. Spent 22 years in sandlot baseball and 35 years at Littlestown High School as football, baseball, basketball coach and athletic director. As AD school expanded from three varsity sports to 14 and junior high program was installed. Served as first executive director of Gettysburg College Orange and Blue Club and in 1992 was named Pennsylvania Middle School Association “Educator of the Year.”
