John “Jack” Greenholt

Jack was one of the South Penn Baseball League’s most respected and feared hitters. He began his career in 1968 and played full time for 26 years, most of those years with the McSherrystown/New Oxford Twins where he also served as player/manager for a dozen years. He led the Twins to their first South Penn crown in 1985. Jack pinch hit in 2010, making it six decades in the South Penn. In addition to his South Penn career, he also was an assistant coach at Delone Catholic High School and coached the Lower Adams American Legion team and Oxford Pony League Phillies.
