Graduated from Littlestown High School and in 1951 from East Stroudsburg University. As an undergraduate, she lettered in basketball and field hockey. In 2000 she was inducted into the East Stroudsburg Hall of Fame. Returning to Littlestown, she coached for more than 30 years, retiring in 1985. One of the most successful girls coaches in the state, she coached the basketball team seven years, winning three conference championships. In five years as field hockey coach, she won one conference crown and qualified for district playoffs three times. Starting a volleyball team in 1972, she won four more championships with her spikers.
