Madelyn Yannetti

Yannetti was one of the most dynamic softball players Gettysburg High School ever produced. Excelling as a pitcher and at the plate, she was YAIAA DIVISION II Pitcher of the Year in 2015, All-Times Player of the Year in 2013, and she made the PA Big 15 second team in 2013. Yannetti holds the Warrior single-season records in strikeouts (144) as a pitcher, hits (35), and RBI (32). She is the career leader in batting average (.465), hits (120), home runs (11), RBI (84), slugging percentage (.717), and on-base percentage (.511). At Messiah College, Tannetti continued her excellence, being named to the coach’s association All-Region second team, and the Middle Atlantic Conference first team in 2017. Also, in 2016, she was named to the NCAA College World Series All-Tournament team. She was a four-year starter for Messiah, and held the NCAA Division III record for the longest shutout victory, a 1-0 win in 19 innings. Yannetti was drafted in 2019 to play in ASBA Professional Softball League. She continued her love of softball as a coach for many years.
