Mandy was a 2000 graduate of Littlestown High School where she excelled at volleyball, basketball, and softball, having been named to the all-area first team for volleyball and basketball for three years. She scored more than 1000 points in basketball. She then took her skills to York College where she became the only player in school history to score over 1000 career points and pull down more than 1000 career rebounds. Bushey finished her career with 1204 points and 1051 rebounds in 106 games. She was named to the All-CAC first team three times and in 2015 was named to the conference’s 25th Anniversary team. In the same year she was inducted into the York College Athletic Hall of Fame.
