Naylor was simply one of the best basketball players ever to play at Biglerville High School. Three times he was named to the All-County team that included both Adams and York Counties, and in 1989, his senior year, he was named the Most Outstanding Player in the Blue Mountain League, leading the Canners to their first ever district playoff win. His sophomore year, he was mentioned as an “underclassman to watch” by the Harrisburg Patriot News, then was chosen for the “Big 15” team his senior year. He was also Honorable Mention All-State, and Honorable Mention MacDonald’s All-American. Naylor scored 1,516 career points, pulled down 1,200 career rebounds, averaged 5.2 blocks per game, and had a single game record of 40 points. He went on to play at Shippensburg University, averaging 10 points, 7.4 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks per game. He was on the All-PSAC second team. His senior year, he helped the Raiders to their first ever PSAC championship.
